Erdogan makes statement implying Turkey has no intention to work with IMF or alike

After a cabinet meeting he had with ministers this evening ERDOGAN addressed the nation. In his speech he gave important messages about measures Turkey could take in close future.

The President said following:

We are taking all measures against possible problems that could be experienced in the world regarding agriculture and food products due to the outbreak. While we mobilize all opportunities to support all sectors, the private banks are not having a good test in this process.

We expect private banks to perform their duties. On the other hand we are a country with economic infrastructure and we will not put our country under any imposition to be caused by any influence from any party, IMF to be in the first place.

We are determined not to leave any sector unattended with the steps we are taking and share the resulting burden fairly.  Up to date, our citizens have shown sacrifice by donating TL 1 billion 612 million to the campaign we started

We will keep our patience for a while longer and then we will find relief.
