A promising announcement about the corona virus, which has sparked a global panic, came from pharmaceutical companies Sanofi and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. The two companies announced that the drug, Kevzara was being tested on covid-19 patients in 7 countries.

A flash statement about the corona virus, which has hit more than 723 thousand people worldwide, came from companies called Sanofi and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. The two companies announced that they had begun testing the improved version of the drug, known as Kevzara, on patients.

Last week, companies announced that the drug was being tested on patients in the United States and that the drug which affects the immune system, will also be tested on patients in Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Canada and Russia.

The companies announced that the latest trials would take place on about 300 patients. The participants in the trial were specifically selected from patients with very severe and critical condition due to Covid-19.

While doctors and scientists believe that the corona virus, also known as cytokine storm, causes the immune system to overreact and attack organs, they hope to be able to manipulate the immune system with these drugs.

Reuters reported that Regeneron is directing the trial process in the United States, and Sanofi is also continuing its work in areas outside the United States.
