Leicestershire police released footage yesterday showing how Rosie contacted them, saying: “We have captured images of Rosie, a Border Collie, on CCTV so you can see her approaching the doors before she walks in and sits in the corner. Smart dog!” he shared his message.

It was stated that Rosie, a Border Collie breed considered one of the smartest dog breeds, escaped while walking with her owner, and then took refuge in the police station, sitting in a corner and waiting for the police to contact the owner.

Police said they gave Rosie water and she made many friends at the police station, adding: “Fortunately, she was wearing a leash, so a tip was available to contact the owner, who was glad that Rosie was found safe and well. Rosie was walking with a second dog when she escaped. What a cute, smart dog.”
