Some expert opinions about new economic package unveiled by President Erdogan

The new economic package to boost Turkey’s economy was announced by Erdogan a short while ago. The  President shared many steps they had decided to take so as to improve the economy in the country which has been experiencing difficulties in regards.

According to initial assessments, many aspects of the package are already things that need to be and should have been done. This is to mean some of the items in the package could even be done without said package being announced.

However, according to experts again, it is not clear how exactly the positive goals set out in the package are to be achieved. In other words, the package could provide more clear info in regards to “what are concrete action plans, what schedule/dates have been set for targets to be achieved and alike”, based on evaluations of unbiased opinion leaders, again.

On the other hand some also draw attention to the point that issues of priority such as “how to increase production in the country and overcome the unemployment problem consequently” are not covered in the package.

Then again, even if this package were to be successful, according to some expert opinions, in order for the country to raise its positive ratings on the international platform, important reforms necessary for law and freedoms must be carried out soonest possible and sincerely.

To recap the general assessment is that this package might not provide the positive impact expected by many parties including the administration in the first place, to boost Turkey’s economy and give the country a relief in economy.
