Auto markets are almost at a standstill: Citizens scared to sell their cars

There was a lot of activity in the car markets in Istanbul, from the early hours of the morning. Stating that the second-hand car market has revived because zero vehicles have not been available lately, tradesmen say that sales have fallen because they have not been able to replace the vehicle they are selling with another vehicle. Some of them say, “We can buy the car we sold this week with a difference of 20-30 thousand liras only, next week.”

Prices in the automotive market continue to rise. Activity started in the early hours of yesterday at Auto Markets in Istanbul. Due to the fact that there are not many new vehicles available, many citizens visited second-hand car markets. But the prices on used cars frightened the buyers, as well. Stating that prices were increasing every day, the tradesmen said that they could not replace the vehicle they sold with another vehicle. Therefore, they said that sales had also fallen, and even the prices for used cars started from TL 60-70 thousand.
