“The Queen of the Caucasus” steers on international roads with her truck

Esra Yılmaz, a female truck driver from Artvin, who transports goods from Artvin to the Caucasus countries with her truck nicknamed “The Queen of the Caucasus,” has transformed the driver’s cabin into a homey space adorned with toys, makeup supplies, and various accessories.

32-year-old Esra Yılmaz who lives in Artvin (Turkey) navigates the international roads alone in this personalized cabin.

Esra Yılmaz, who resides in Kemalpaşa district of Artvin, has a passion for driving and traveling. To pursue both of these passions and earn a living, Yılmaz chose the profession of truck driving. After receiving training at a private port in Kocaeli, she has been behind the wheel, transporting goods nationwide and to the Caucasus for the past 4 years.

Yılmaz, who has decorated the driver’s cabin with lace embroidery, toys and makeup supplies, spends much of her time alone on the roads. Not neglecting to do her makeup during breaks, Yılmaz says that she reads books, eats, and sleeps at night inside the truck, which she calls “my home and workplace.” (SOURCE: İHA)
