TUIK announces inflation figure as 83.45 percent annually

TUIK INFLATION IN DECEMBER

According to TURKSTAT, consumer prices increased by 3.08 percent monthly and 83.45 percent annually in September. According to ENAG (a private group of lecturers), the increase was 5.30 percent per month and 186.27 percent per year.

Inflation figures announced

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) has announced the inflation figures for September. Accordingly, the change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in September 2022 was 3.08 compared to previous month. The change in same index was 83.45 percent compared to same month of previous year.

The annual inflation rate of 83.45 percent was the peak of 24 years after July 1998.

The main group with the least increase compared to the same month of the previous year was communications with 30.76 percent. On the other hand, the main group with the highest increase compared to the same month of the previous year was transportation with 117.66 percent.
