Turkey’s opposition leader: If they allow us, we will intervene in ongoing fires

CHP leader Kemal KILICDAROGLU shared a message in his social media account about the ongoing fires not extinguished so far, in many parts of Turkey, adding: “let our municipalities rent these planes and employ pilots and technicians, let us immediately intervene in the fires.”

CHP leader said they could not reach the THK (Turkish Aviation Association) about the fires that engulfed many parts of Turkey and had difficulty controlling them. “Erdogan is not around, and no bureaucrat can give his approval without his permission. I called person in charge of said association, I couldn’t reach him.”

KILICDAROGLU went on to share following:

“Let our municipalities rent the planes and employ pilots and technicians, and let us immediately intervene in the fires,” he said.

The Turkish Air Authority has been almost abolished (pacified and all) in the hands of the trustee (appointed by AKP government). Planes are kept inactive, pilots are out of business. I have proposed a new business model; let our municipalities rent these planes and employ pilots and technicians, and let us immediately respond to fires“
