Turkish pharma company delivers Ministry of Health first party drugs against covid 19

The Turkish pharmaceutical company ABDI IBRAHIM announced that it had delivered to the Ministry of Health the first batch production of a drug, observed to give positive results against coronavirus based on research, so far. According to the statement from Abdi Ibrahim, the company will produce 1 million 600 thousand tablets in April in its facilities in Esenyurt, Istanbul and will donate all production of this drug throughout the year to the ministry.

Nezih Barut, Chairman of the board of Directors of the company, stated that as the only domestic producer of the drug in the treatment protocol of Covid-19 in Turkey, they had immediately procured the raw material, facing very high demand growth all over the world with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce and delivered first party production to the Ministry.

Mr. Barut said they expected the drug, which is included in the primary treatment recommendations in the Department of Health’s treatment protocol, to offer a strong contribution in the fight against the virus along with other treatments.

The chairman also said “As Abdi Ibrahim, we act in line with our mission of improvement and with the awareness of our responsibilities. We have put all our facilities in place to end the virus threat our country has been exposed to, as soon as possible. As a company that measures its value through its contributions to its country and its people, it is our greatest wish that the world and our country will survive this difficult process as soon as possible and with little loss.”
