US company Pfizer heralds final phase for new drug to cure Corona patients

It is reported that US-based pharmaceutical company Pfizer has entered a final phase for a drug developed for Covid-19 patients.

British news agency Reuters reported that recent trials were made for pill which was prepared for people who tested positive for Covid-19, showed symptoms but did not suffer from the disease severely enough to be hospitalized.

It was also noted that the antiviral pill named PF-07321332, was designed for use in the first period of the disease. Officials said 1,140 people were involved in the testing process.

As it stands now, Remdesivir is the only medicine approved for Covid-19 patients in the United States. Pfizer announced in July that success had been achieved regarding the drug PF-07321332, and that official applications for emergency use approval would begin in the last quarter of the year.
