Authority increases natural gas price for residential buildings by 12 percent

The authority has increased gas prices for residential buildings by 12 percent. Gas prices were increased by 1 percent every month until July 2021.

A tariff table for July was published on the website of oil transport Aş (BOTAŞ) by pipelines.

The new tariff increased the tariff for residential consumption by 12 percent and the tariff for industrial and electricity generation plants by 20 percent.

Accordingly, the sale price that Botaş applied to gas distribution companies for residential consumers was determined as 1488 lira 9 cents for 1000 cubic meters of natural gas, and the price that it applied to industrial subscribers was determined as 1783 lira 35 cents.

In the tariff of power plants for generating electricity, the price applied for 1000 cubic meters of natural gas increased by 20 percent to 2,60 thousand.

Natural gas price tariffs are calculated on a monthly basis. Every month from the beginning of new year to July, natural gas used in housing was increased by 1 percent.
