Erdogan instructs his party to work on metaverse topic

At the MYK (Central Executive Board) meeting of the AKP, the topic of metaverse was raised. AKP Deputy Chairman for Information and Communication Technologies OMER YILDIRIM made a presentation. EAK Party leader Erdogan gave instructions saying, “It is a sensitive issue. Do a good and meticulous job.”

In the presentation  it was explained that social media such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook could soon be moved to this world, and crypto money was also connected with the metaverse.

Party officials said, “We need to follow the developments. We need to be careful. We also need to be a pioneer in the developments in this field. However, everything we will do here may also be aimed at legitimizing the commercialized part of this world. We also need to pay attention to it.”

Erdogan on the other hand said, “It’s a sensitive issue. Do a good and rigorous study. Organize a workshop attended by experts in their field on the subject.”
