Hotel in Antalya changes direction of stream bed to open beach

A hotel in Antalya has changed the direction of the creek bed on the seashore to open a beach area.

The coastal control of the Antalya Provincial Gendarmerie Command Environmental Nature and Animal Protection Team and Manavgat District Gendarmerie Command teams, found that the direction of the creek bed on the seashore was changed to open a beach area on the beach band of Kumkoy Tourism Zone.

According to a report on media, an examination showed that about 250-300 meters of excavation and canal work was carried out on the coast. The teams started procedure against the hotel’s chief operating officer S.U. and the hotel administration for having violated “the Coastal Code”

An investigation is reported to be underway.
