Minister of Tourism Ersoy: “We have updated our target of 42 million tourists to 47 million this year”

Minister of Culture and Tourism Ersoy who said that the number of 26 million 195 thousand 747 visitors had been reached in the first 7 months of this year, said, “We have updated our target of 42 million tourists to 47 million this year.”

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy attended the Service Exporters’ Association workshop at a hotel located in Sapanca district of Sakarya. He said that in the first 7 months of this year, the number of 26 million 195 thousand 747 visitors had been reached.

Minister Ersoy, who also stated that they had revised the target number of tourists this year, said, “We have updated our target of 42 million tourists this year to 47 million. We will continue to revise this number upwards, altogether.”

“Our country reached the number of 26 million 195 thousand 747 visitors in the first 7 months of this year. We and you all together have to continue to play together to bring our country to the place it deserves. Our country is not a country with a lot of wealth such as oil and natural gas, but we have a well-trained human resource that is important and makes us stand out. Thanks to our service sector, our well-trained workforce is at a very good point, which is a very important occasion of happiness for us. Our country reached the number of 26 million 195 thousand 747 visitors in the first 7 months of this year and the share of the service sector in this important success is quite large. This year, we have updated our target of 42 million tourists to 47 million. We will continue to revise this number upwards with unity. From now on, our path is quite clear because our country has completed the necessary infrastructure deficiencies related to tourism”

Minister Ersoy stated that the infrastructure of Turkey related to tourism had been completed and said, “As a Sector of Service Exporters, we are a dynamic sector that adapts quickly to new conditions and meets the requirements of its era. We all have very big things to do. I am especially appealing to my friends who are active in the field of tourism; after that, our path is quite clear because our country has completed the necessary infrastructure deficiencies related to tourism. We have the largest airport in the world. We have the most important cruise port in the world, which is considered the most admired new generation.”
