Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the increases in housing sales and rental prices in the last 20 days. Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office reported that an investigation had been launched after it was found that there was serious increases in housing sales and rental prices in the last 20 days.

In a written statement made by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, it was stated that some earthquake victims affected by the earthquakes that occurred in Turkey on and after February 6 had come to Ankara, and it was found that there were serious increases in housing sales and rental prices in the last 20 days.

The Attorney General’s Office shared following statement regarding the issue.

In the statement, the following information was shared: “In a research conducted on intense complaints that some landlords and real estate agents made exorbitant increases in sales and rental prices, it was found out that there had been serious increases in sales and rental prices indicated in ads placed on shopping sites in the last 20 days. Accordingly, an investigation was launched by our Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the necessary instructions were given to the Ankara Provincial Police Department Financial Crimes Prevention Branch Directorate.”
