The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that they would return to the Black Sea Grain Corridor Agreement, which would cease to function on July 18, if the West stopped imposing sanctions on Russian food and fertilizer.

A written statement was made by the Ministry regarding the termination of the Black Sea Grain Corridor Agreement. Recalling that two interconnected agreements had been signed in Istanbul on July 22, 2022, about a year ago, it was noted that these package agreements carried humanitarian goals such as ensuring global food security, reducing the threat of hunger, helping underdeveloped countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

“RESULTS LOOKING NEGATIVE”

The statement said, “One year later, the results of the work on the implementation of these agreements are looking negative.”

The statement said Ukrainian food exports aimed to “serve the interests of Kiev and its Western curators” until the last moment and went on to say following: “32.8 million tons of cargo have been exported so far through the grain initiative, 26.3 million tons of which have been sent to high- and middle-income countries, including the European Union (EU).”

“Less than 3 percent of grain was sent to the poorest countries, especially Ethiopia, Yemen, Afghanistan, Sudan and Somalia, with a total of 922 thousand 92 tons.”

“WESTERNERS WIN TWICE FROM GRAIN”

“Europeans who buy Ukrainian food at dumped prices then process it in their factories for resale as high-value-added products. In fact, Westerners earn twice, both in the sale and processing of grain. In addition, the US and the EU are speculating on prices, creating an artificial product shortage and pushing Russian agricultural products out of world markets by imposing illegal unilateral sanctions.”

“CORRIDOR USED FOR TERRORIST ATTACKS”

The statement noted that the safe corridor opened by Russia to the grain outlet of Ukraine was “used for terrorist attacks” contrary to the spirit of the “Black Sea Initiative”, noting that the part of the agreement related to Russia had not entered into force.
