Turkey’s tourism sector hopes to open in second half
The tourism sector, which has been in limbo due to the pandemic and the Russian war in Ukraine, is preparing to accelerate as of June.
Muberra Eresin, President of the Turkish Hoteliers Association said, “Our expectation in the tourism sector as of today is that jobs will start to open again with the second half of the year and statistics will be formed that will go up in the sector” also noting that they aimed to achieve their goals with public and private cooperation this year.
Speaking at the General Assembly of TUROB, ERESIN noted they were following developments between Russia and Ukraine with concern as these 2 countries had 30 percent share in Turkey’s tourism sector market.
