Trump faces risk of impeachment by House of Representatives for triggering raid in US
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has made a critical statement on the impeachment of Trump cited as the architect of one of the most unprecedented events in US history. Pelosi, who has been referred to with nickname “Crazy Pelosi” by Trump, made an explanation about the terms of Trump’s dismissal.
“TRUMP IS A THREAT”
Pelosi said, “If Vice President Mike Pence and the cabinet do not impeach Trump, we’re going to start voting for impeachment”. Pelosi also stated Trump was responsible for the bloody raid and added “he is an immediate threat to this nation.”
Nancy Pelosi, who never got along with Trump, had fought back by tearing up the text of the US President’s live speech online, in February last year.
It was announced today that the House of Representatives, in a non-binding call, would demand that Pence be removed from Trump’s duties under Article 25 of the Constitution. If Pence does not heed that call within 24 hours, Trump’s dismissal will begin in the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives.
TRUMP WILL BE A FIRST
If the process of dismissal of Trump begins, then the right-wing leader will become the first US President in US history to initiate the process of dismissal for the second time. Trump, who was fired last year for allegedly trying to defame his Democratic rival Joe Biden by pressuring him on Ukraine, was a Republican in the Senate at the time.
