KUSADASI Municipality distributes 10 thousand masks to its residents against coronavirus

KUSADASI Municipality continues its fight against the corona virus (Covid-19) outbreak which has spread to many countries including Turkey after emerging in Wuhan, China. Within this framework the municipality continues its efforts to prevent the spread of the corona virus and has already taken several measures in regards.

In this context, teams working for the “Directorate of Health Affairs of the Municipality” distributed 10 thousand masks, 12 thousand pairs of gloves and 300 liters of disinfectant to those over the age of 65 and those with chronic disease.

The teams of the Health Affairs Directorate try to raise awareness about the disease in the municipality staff and citizens through seminars and hand leaflets, while taking concrete measures to prevent epidemic disease in the district.

Also, hand sanitizer vending machines were placed in different areas of the city by the Directorate of Health Affairs and leaflets were distributed describing the methods of prevention of disease. In the following days, it is aimed to raise public awareness by dieticians affiliated with the Directorate about the methods of strengthening the immune system.

On the other hand, the same directorate also oversees businesses selling food products as part of the fight against the corona virus. In the inspections carried out by food engineers and police personnel reporting to the directorate, it is checked if products are manufacture to comply with hygiene rules as well the health conditions in warehouses and shops.
