Mask and social distance control for tourists from tourism police in Istanbul

Mask and social distance checks were carried out on tourists in Taksim Square using drones, as well. Teams from the Istanbul Police Department’s tourism branch conducted a mask and social distance inspection for tourists at Taksim Square. The IHA Bureau team also assisted with a drone.

Unmasked tourists were warned one by one by police teams, while the crowded tourist group in front of the Taksim Republican monument was reminded of the social distance rule. While the tourist guide reacted to the shooting, police stressed that the group should follow the social distance rule. It was stated by officials that inspections would continue.
